More SIGNS of the END-TIMES happening in America…
As if we needed more trouble, one Kentucky newspaper reports that “More than 600 earthquakes have hit across Utah and surrounding areas after a 5.7-magnitude quake struck near Salt Lake City about two weeks ago, according to University of Utah Seismograph Stations.” As of Monday morning (March 30), the University of Utah Seismograph Stations, or UUSS, recorded 658 earthquakes as part of a series of aftershocks. And a 6.5 magnitude quake hit Idaho tonight (March 31).
You might ask, “What in the world is going on?” Well, once again the predictions of Jesus as recorded in Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13 are like reading today’s newspapers. When asked what would be the sign of His coming and of the end of the age, Jesus said that some of the GENERAL SIGNS would be—False Christs and prophets, wars and rumors of wars, widespread famine, pestilence, and earthquakes, persecution of Christians, and a great falling away from the faith, all amidst the successful spreading of the gospel worldwide.
He footnoted His predictions with saying these signs would increase in intensity and frequency prior to His return.
As I’ve said in many previous posts, let not your heart be troubled! The same Lord who predicted all these things is firmly in charge. Nothing surprises Him. He is NEVER caught off guard. And He holds His own in the hollow of His nail pierced hands!
My resolve is to be proactive, “redeeming the time (making the most of every opportunity) for the days are EVIL” (Eph. 5:16). In fact, this is a GREAT TIME to lovingly share your faith with friends and family who heretofore may not have been open to the gospel. May God bring many souls to a saving knowledge of Jesus in this dark and trying hour!
And remember, “God is our refuge and strength, an abundantly available help in times of trouble” (Ps 46:1).
