Turning Point Church and its related entities (the “Church,” “TPC,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”) want to protect the personal information of everyone who uses our website, mobile applications, or services (together, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy and Terms of Use apply to https://www.tpcfamily.org and to other websites, apps, and services related to Turning Point Church.

By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.

1. Information we collect

We may collect information that corresponds to how you use the Services, including:

  • Name, date of birth, email address, phone number, and mailing / billing / shipping address
  • Mobile carrier (when you opt in to SMS)
  • Giving information (debit, credit, or bank details processed by our giving providers)
  • Content of messages you send us
  • Event registration and volunteer information
  • IP address, approximate location, browser type, domain name, dates and times of access, and activity on the website

We collect this when you request information, sign up for email or text updates, give online, register for events, submit a connect card or comment form, or otherwise contact us.

We may combine information collected through these channels.

2. How we use information

We use Personal Data for the purpose it was given, including:

  • Responding to questions and providing ministry care
  • Church engagement (email, letter, phone, SMS text message, and similar)
  • Event, volunteer, and service-related notices
  • Informational and promotional ministry communications
  • Account maintenance, recordkeeping, and giving records
  • Improving and securing the Services
  • Detecting fraud, abuse, or technical issues
  • Other legitimate ministry purposes

By voluntarily providing information, you acknowledge that we may use it to serve you, maintain contact, solicit contributions, and share information about TPC, subject to this Policy and applicable law.

3. How we share information

TPC will never sell, lease, or rent your Personal Data.

We may disclose information:

  • When required by law, court order, subpoena, search warrant, or a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect safety or to enforce our terms
  • To TPC-related ministries that honor your opt-out requests
  • To service providers who process data for us (website, giving, email, SMS, livestream, and similar vendors) under reasonable confidentiality terms, only as needed to provide that service

We are not responsible for cookies, pixels, or tracking on third-party sites linked from ours. Those sites have their own policies.

SMS / mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. SMS text messaging

TPC uses text messaging to communicate with people who have opted in. Messages may include service and event reminders (for example Growth Track, baptisms, GriefShare, volunteer schedules), weather or closure alerts, and other church information. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undeliverable messages.

Consent. We only text numbers that opted in by: (1) texting JOIN or START (or another published keyword) to our church SMS number, (2) submitting a website or digital form that includes the SMS disclosure, or (3) an in-person connect card or signup that includes the same disclosure. Providing a phone number for a voice callback only is not SMS consent.

By providing a telephone number and submitting a form that includes this disclosure, you are consenting to be contacted by SMS text message from Turning Point Church (message frequency may vary). Keywords. JOIN and START opt you in. STOP opts you out. HELP requests help.

5. Cookies and analytics

We and our service providers may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar tools to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies in your browser; some features may not work if you block them.

6. Children’s privacy (COPPA)

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you are under 13, do not submit personal information to us.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information we store. Online giving uses encryption (https). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Email and other non-SMS communications

TPC does not send communications without a lawful basis or your consent where required. You may unsubscribe from email using the link in those messages. Email opt-out does not by itself cancel SMS; use STOP for texts. We may retain certain records as required or permitted by law.

9. Photography and recording

By attending a TPC service, event, or program, you acknowledge you may be photographed, audio recorded, or video recorded. Attendance constitutes consent for you and minors appearing with you. Those recordings become TPC property and may be used for ministry, including websites, video, social media, and advertising. If you do not want to be recorded, please join by livestream rather than in person; we cannot guarantee an in-person attendee will not appear.

10. Website terms of use

All content on the Services is the property of TPC unless otherwise noted. You may not copy, modify, republish, or distribute it for commercial purposes without permission. You may not distort or misrepresent TPC content. Do not use the Services for unlawful, harassing, or deceptive activity. We may suspend access that violates these terms. The Services are provided for ministry information; they are not legal, medical, or professional advice.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. The date at the top will change. Continued use of the Services after a posting constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. This Policy was last modified on September 3, 2026.
