Things surrounding the coronavirus that were JUST TOO EASY…
Through the sheer pressure of lockdown, fear of the unknown, and way too much Corona disinformation, here are a few things I’ve personally noted in retrospect that fall into the JUST TOO EASY category:
- It was all too easy to put an entire nation into a state of panic overnight.
- Freedoms were too easily traded for protections not backed by reliable information.
- It was too easy to waste precious time playing the “who’s most at fault for the pandemic” blame game.
- It was way too easy for some to get away with exercising unconstitutional authority in the name of “care.”
- It was definitely too easy for “Twilight Zone” conspiracy theories to gain undeserved traction.
- It was disturbingly too easy for politicians to exploit the crisis by passing pork-laden bills that normally would not have seen the light of day.
- It was too easy for scientists to come up with fatality models that way missed the mark and further terrified Americans unnecessarily.
- It was likewise far too easy for the media to broadcast those models like they were irrefutably true.
- Finally, it was just too easy to not ask why, after America has seen many new viruses before, this one required national lockdown and the cessation of life as we have known it. That has bothered me from the get go.
BUT! On the POSITIVE SIDE, it was MUCH EASIER to talk to people about their eternal souls and lead them to Christ.
For that silver lining we are very grateful!
