Let’s not forget the place called heaven!

With all the COVID stuff flying around, combined with the division, strife, hatred, and uncertainty currently vexing America, it’s easy to forget the promises of our Lord. Like this one:

John 14:1-2

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.”

This is an incredible passage! Jesus says, “Let me give you a great reason to stay calm and confident, even in troubled times. I’m returning to the heaven I came from to make it ready for YOUR ARRIVAL!”

The phrase dwelling place comes from a word meaning “a room to live or stay in.” It speaks of a room made ready JUST FOR YOU AND ME and all those that place faith in Christ.

Can you imagine a room just for you where Jesus has been the interior decorator!?

As if this weren’t enough, Jesus stacks another promise on top of this one. “I will come again and receive you to myself.” This is a RAPTURE verse. The Bible predicts that one day an astounding thing will happen. The Lord Jesus will shout, followed by the blast of a trumpet and the voice of an archangel.

At that very moment all who have ever died in Christ will come out of their graves, instantly to receive resurrection bodies. And God’s blood bought children still on earth will instantly be snatched up into the clouds to meet Jesus in the air.

So lift up your heads. Your heavenly relocation is soon at hand!
